Classic Champagne Cocktail
Yield: 1 serving
- To soak a sugar cube with bitters, place the sugar cube on top of the bitters bottle. While holding it in place with your finger, flip the bottle upside down until the sugar cube is saturated.
- Drop the saturated sugar cube in the bottom of a champagne flute or champagne coupe.
- Fill the glass with champagne or sparkling wine.
- Optionally, garnish the drink with a lemon peel twist.
*The classic recipe calls for Angostura Bitters, but this would also be an excellent place to get creative with any of the dozens and dozens of other bitters flavors on the market. We’ve used Dillon’s Small Batch Pear Cocktail Bitters in this cocktail to great success.
